Georgene,
Greece was a beutiful land surrounded by the majestic sea and grand mountains. I can see why the ancient Greeks decided to place their significant buildings near such impressive natural areas. Italy by contrast was easier to place building in the same area and it was nice to be able to walk to different significant sites. I really appreciated not having to travel for hours to go to a historical site and van see how that may have impacted to more pragmatic thinkin of then Romans. All in all the travel study was a way for me to understand how the ancient civilizations may have developed.
